No joke, canceling Grammarly felt like solving a mini escape room. You gotta go through Account → Subscription → Manage Plan → “Want to cancel?” (in size 6 font) → Confirm like three times.
Sketchy UX or genius retention strategy… not sure which.
How to cancel Grammarly subscription?
Been there. Here’s how to actually cancel:
Log in on desktop → go to Account
Under Subscription, scroll down
Click Cancel Subscription (it can be easy to miss)
After that it usually asks you to confirm again before it finally processes the cancellation.
Most people get stuck because uninstalling Grammarly doesn’t cancel the billing. You have to cancel it through your account in a browser.
Just log in → Account → Subscription → Cancel. That’s the only place where the billing actually stops.

I had the same issue recently - uninstalling the app doesn’t stop billing at all, so the only real way to do the whole Grammarly cancel subscription thing is through your account settings in a browser.
Once you cancel there, the plan usually stays active until the end of the current billing period.
