I’ve been pulling 6 hours a night for the past month and honestly feel… off. My focus dips, I’m cranky, and coffee isn’t even helping anymore. Does anyone actually survive on 6 hours long-term, or am I just slowly frying my brain and pretending everything’s fine because everyone around me is also sleep-deprived?
six hours sleep enough if you are student that dont have anything except study
You’re basically running your brain on “battery saver mode.” Six hours might feel fine for a week or two, but long-term your prefrontal cortex (aka the decision-making HQ) starts acting like it’s got a weak Wi-Fi signal. You’ll still function, but your focus, memory, and emotional control start glitching in weird ways.
Man, I tried doing that last semester - 6 hours every night, convinced I was “built different.” Spoiler: I was not. By week three I was forgetting basic stuff like where I parked or what class I had next, and reading the same paragraph three times because nothing was sticking. Once I went back to around 7–8 hours, it was like someone rebooted my brain
